Gamblock is provided by Quentin Diebold as an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how Gamblock handles information when you use the mobile app.

Summary

Gamblock is designed to keep most sensitive information on your device. Your selected blocked apps and websites, Screen Time selection, game history, blocking timers, preferences, and privacy choices are stored locally on your device or in the iOS App Group used by the app and its Screen Time extensions.

Gamblock does not sell personal information. Gamblock does not provide real-money gambling, betting, cash prizes, or wagering.

Age Restriction

Gamblock is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Do not use Gamblock if you are under 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information through Gamblock, contact gamblock@quentindiebold.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Information Stored On Your Device

Gamblock stores the following information locally:

• App preferences, such as haptics and consent settings.
• Onboarding state, install date, and app activity dates.
• Subscription status cached from Apple/RevenueCat.
• Selected blocked app or website count and blocking configuration.
• Blocking timer state, such as unlock or cooldown status and timer end time.
• Game history, including game type, duration, bet duration, outcome, and timestamp.
• Install attribution fields returned by AppsFlyer, such as media source, campaign, ad set, ad name, and whether the install was organic, when attribution is available.

Your exact iOS Screen Time app and website selection is handled by Apple's Screen Time APIs and the app's local App Group storage. Gamblock does not upload your selected apps, website domains, or Screen Time usage to our servers.

Information Sent To Service Providers

Gamblock uses a small number of third-party service providers to operate subscriptions, analytics, and attribution.

RevenueCat

Gamblock uses RevenueCat to manage Apple in-app purchases and subscription entitlement status.

RevenueCat may process information such as:

• RevenueCat app user ID.
• Apple purchase and subscription status.
• Product identifiers, renewal status, trial status, and expiration dates.
• Device, app, and diagnostic information needed to operate purchases.

Apple processes payments through your Apple ID. Gamblock does not receive your full payment card details.

PostHog

If you enable analytics, Gamblock uses PostHog to understand app usage and improve the product.

Analytics may include events such as:

• Onboarding screens viewed or completed.
• Paywall screens shown or dismissed.
• Subscription flow events, such as purchase started, completed, cancelled, failed, or restored.
• Game completion events and aggregate gameplay counts.
• Privacy actions, such as consent granted, data exported, or deletion requested.
• Retention events, such as returning user or day 7/day 28 retention milestones.

Gamblock may identify analytics events using the anonymous RevenueCat app user ID when analytics consent is enabled. Gamblock does not send your name, email address, exact blocked app list, website domains, or Screen Time usage to PostHog.

Analytics is off until you consent. You can turn it off in Settings > Privacy & Data.

AppsFlyer

Gamblock uses AppsFlyer for install attribution and marketing measurement when you consent to analytics/data sharing and, on iOS, allow tracking where required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

AppsFlyer may process information such as:

• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers, where available and permitted.
• Install attribution information, such as media source, campaign, ad set, ad name, and organic/non-organic status.
• Limited allowlisted app events used for attribution and marketing measurement, such as onboarding completion, paywall shown, paywall conversion, trial reminder tapped, and retention milestones.

Gamblock does not send purchase events directly from the mobile app to AppsFlyer. Subscription-related attribution may be handled through RevenueCat's managed integration.

You can disable analytics and data sharing in Settings > Privacy & Data. If you enable Do Not Sell or Share My Data, Gamblock will not intentionally sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Notifications

Gamblock may request notification permission to provide local notifications, such as reminders related to trial timing or prompts to return to Gamblock after tapping a blocked app shield.

These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Apple Screen Time Permissions

Gamblock uses Apple's FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings APIs to let you select apps or websites to block and to apply a shield while blocking is active.

Gamblock uses these permissions only to provide the blocking feature. Gamblock does not upload your Screen Time usage or exact selected app list to our servers.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, Gamblock may show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before enabling tracking-related attribution features. If you decline, Gamblock will not use Apple's advertising identifier for tracking.

Gamblock's in-app analytics consent and data-sharing consent are separate controls available in Settings > Privacy & Data.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or use Gamblock's deletion controls.

Gamblock includes an in-app data deletion flow that clears local game history, blocking setup, preferences, consent settings, and analytics identity from the device where the action is taken.

Third-party service providers may retain operational records for a limited time according to their own policies and legal obligations. Purchase records may also be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed for subscription, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, and legal compliance.

Your Choices And Rights

In Settings > Privacy & Data, you can:

• Turn analytics on or off.
• Turn data sharing on or off.
• Turn personalization consent on or off. This setting is reserved for future personalized features.
• Enable Do Not Sell or Share My Data.
• View your local Gamblock data.
• Export your local Gamblock data as a JSON file.
• Delete your local Gamblock data.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. You can use the in-app self-service controls or contact gamblock@quentindiebold.com.

GDPR requests are handled within 30 days. CCPA/CPRA requests are handled within 45 days unless an extension is permitted by law.

Account Deletion

Gamblock does not currently require a traditional email/password account. Subscription identity is managed through Apple and RevenueCat.

You can delete local Gamblock data inside the app from Settings > Privacy & Data > Delete All My Data. This resets local app data and disconnects available analytics identifiers. For anonymous RevenueCat users, a RevenueCat anonymous ID may remain in RevenueCat's internal SDK storage until the app is uninstalled and reinstalled or until RevenueCat retention processes apply.

International Transfers

Gamblock's service providers may process data in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by those service providers.

Security

Gamblock uses platform storage and iOS system APIs to protect local data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but Gamblock limits collection and avoids uploading highly sensitive Screen Time selections or usage data.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice inside the app.
